Dawit is a 5th grader at Repi Primary School in Karakore, Ethiopia. He has 3 siblings, and his favorite subject in school is Language Arts. He wants to be a doctor when he grows up.

 

Dawit's mother is a widow and struggles to support her 4 children. She wakes before dawn to raise her children and do laundry for neighbors for a few coins.  This family is living in crisis and needs immediate support. If Dawit is sponsored for $35/month, he will receive daily meals, after school tutoring, and basic medical care. If his family is sponsored for an additional $15 a month, they will all receive monthly food rations and medical care, and his mother will be given priority to enroll in our Family Business Program, where she will be empowered to start her own small business and earn an income.
