Rediet S is 8 years old and in 2nd grade at Repi Elementary School in Kara Kore, Ethiopia. She was born in September 2009. She wants to be a nurse when she grows up.
 

Rediet's father, Seid, works as a day laborer, which is exhaustive work for a very low wage. Her mother, Meseret, takes care of her 2 children and the home. This family is struggling to put food on the table, and often goes without dinner. Rediet and her sibling are having nutrition-related issues as a result. If Rediet is sponsored for $35/month, she will receive daily meals, after school tutoring, and basic medical care. If her family is sponsored for an additional $15 a month, they will all receive monthly food rations and medical care, and his parents will be given priority to enroll in our Family Business Program, where they will be empowered to start their own small business and earn an income.
